Cummins Inc. is offering a Sales Graduate Development Opportunity in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The purpose of Sale graduate will help potential customers understand, compare, and contrast the solutions that are available for buying (the pre-sales role); to troubleshoot problems with their implementations — that is, to help ensure that the solutions work successfully once the buying decision has been made (the post-sales role) and to maximize sales.

Prepares sales analyses and reports for their manager, the sales force, sales management, general management, and marketing.
Supports the Synchronized Business Planning Process (Demand Track).
Works with assigned customers, markets, or geographical regions to develop annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and statistical reporting.
Prepares statistical reporting, including sales performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis.
Maintains Sales Analytic Tools based on Standard Cummins Tools and Processes.
Executes special projects as assigned.
Assures good communication and coordination between account management, field sales, upstream influencers, sales management, inside sales and sales analysts (as applicable) to attain the goals of the sales strategy and culture, management of customers, sales talent management and sales operations.
Builds upon and maintains existing relationships by supporting the account team in selling the organization's products and services to an assigned set of customers or a geographic region.
Assists in organization of customer visits and negotiations
Interfaces with sales, manufacturing, and marketing teams to design and deliver solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to learn, analyze, and understand business and technical processes.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, presentation) to all levels of the organization.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Effective team work and multi-tasking skills.
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering.
