We run an exciting 13 month placement where you are given an opportunity to work in a role and on real projects, making a difference in both your team and the company as a whole.

Role Purpose

As a member of the newly formed Sales Support Greater Europe team, you will be supporting business development opportunities within the region. This role involves cross functional work across the Cummins business where you will have the unique opportunity to interact with many different functions both internally and externally.

· Support the Sales Support Greater Europe team in day to day enquiries.

  • Support Demand Management.

  • Streamline, collate and organise current templates and tools.

  • Liaise with internal Engineering and external Suppliers to obtain quotes for specifications.

  • Create cost sheets and proposals.

  • Undertake risk assessment matrix task.

  • Issue weekly enquiries dashboard report to Senior Management.

  • Lead weekly meeting between Sales and Sales Support.

  • Operate as a team member in cross functional projects

  • Embrace the Company core values.

Large Project:

Take ownership to create, structure and implement process improvement tools, for example “develop a standard components pricing database”.

Qualifications

Training Provided

Required Skills, Qualification and Experience:

  • Studying for a Business, Technology or Engineering related degree.

  • P.C. and Microsoft office skills essential, especially advanced Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills.

  • Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on new responsibilities.

  • Able to use own initiative.

To be eligible for our 13 Month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area. You are supported by formal and informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business.
