Cummins are now recruiting for our 2020 intake of 12-month placements in the UK (Daventry) which provide a meaningful opportunity foruniversity students to accomplish real-world projects in a professional environment.

We are looking for undergraduate students with business degrees (project management, IT, other related)

At Cummins we recognize that having experience of the working world during your university degree provides a key insight to the practical application of your learning.

We run an exciting 12-month placement where you are given an opportunity to work in a role and on real projects making a difference in both your team and the company as a whole.

You will receive on the job training and take part in a structured Training & Development Programme designed to give the skills and competencies required for future graduate roles.

The responsibilities of this role will include

  • Download and format customer order boards from Oracle OBIEE for distribution

  • Continuous collation of data attributed to the Business using Oracle/Excel and providing the reports to a worldwide audience

  • Researching various attributes of the Plant using Oracle/Excel and liaising with various departments in the creation of reports when required.

  • Liaising with shipping, providing essential documentation and creating important reports.

  • Prepare detailed Customer/Distributor Score Cards for review on a quarterly basis.

  • Data compilation for inclusion in a monthly report.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Account Representative, the student will be involved with all aspects of order management and customer interface with the Plant

Encouraged to get involved with all other departments at the Plant to gain good knowledge and understanding of a global multinational organization

Continuously encouraged to provide own input to review and improve current processes for mutual benefit.

A mentor will be there to guide you through your placement year.

The following training will be provided:

  • Training in Corporate systems such as Oracle and familiarization with other business software

  • Coaching to enable the development of other business skills

  • Internal Placement and Graduate Networks

Qualifications

We are looking for undergraduate students with Business degrees (project management, IT, other related)

  • Computer literacy - proficient knowledge of Windows, in particular MS Excel

  • Communication skills, verbal and written

  • Teamwork and proactive attitude

  • Attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Time management/prioritization skills.
