Description

Cummins are now recruiting for our 2020 intake of 12 month placements in the UK, whichprovide a meaningful opportunity for university students to accomplish real-world projects in a professional environment.

As part of the Cummins Distribution Europe Marketing Team, provide marketing support to the Cummins Distribution Europe sales team and other key stakeholders, across all marketing functions in line with the marketing plan.

Support the coordination and execution of Cummins Distribution Europe Marketing campaigns, to ensure effective implementation in line with marketing plan.Provides administrative and logistical support to all marketing programmes and activitiesSupports specific marketing initiatives and tactics within a region, market, customer, or product segment

The placement is a one-year structured role, key elements include:

  • Work closely with European Marketing Team colleagues and other key stakeholders to deliver marketing support in line with the European marketing plan, as part of European Marketing Team

  • Provides support in the execution of marketing strategies; drafts marketing plans and materials.

  • Monitors and tracks marketing communications projects and events as they relate to assigned area.

  • Provide coordination and marketing support for events.

  • Provide marketing support for communication and PR campaigns, including production and distribution of marketing collateral and sales materials

  • Provide marketing support for website and new media for Europe

  • Compile and coordinate marketing information for Audit or other reports for Europe, as required

  • Provide support for relationship marketing programmes, including deployment of direct marketing campaigns (including email campaigning), and support by providing customer and prospect data – local or for Europe, as required

  • Support local sales teams with marketing collateral – brochures, flyers and other literature required for local sales teams – maintaining a library of marketing documents, in local language, as required

  • Provide local marketing support to the Cummins Distribution Europe sales team and other key stakeholders, across all marketing functions in line with the marketing plan.

  • Provide local marketing support for events within the local region, assisting with co-ordination and events logistics. This will include attending key events to provide support the stand build and stand duty as required (including where weekend support work may be required).

  • Support the requirement to gain stakeholder input for the production of the Cummins customer magazine, and internal newsletter, including collecting data from key stakeholders and copywriting content into articles for inclusion in future issues.

  • Provide local marketing support for communication and PR campaigns in local region, including production and distribution of marketing collateral and sales materials.

  • Provide local marketing support for website and social media as required.

  • Collation and distribution of marketing materials and collateral – across Europe, as required.

  • Support the production of all forms of marketing collateral, including advertising, flyers, brochures and other marketing collateral requirements for Europe

  • Audit Cummins Distribution Europe marketing literature as at present across all locations. Develop a list of requirements across Europe, including language variations, and co-ordinate the fulfilment of literature requirements.

  • Support with coordination of ordering of Cummins branded merchandise (including show uniform) requirements

  • Liaise with key suppliers and agencies, developing a good working relationship to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns to a high quality standard, in line with budget and deadline.

  • Manage multiple and changing priorities to meet business requirements for the European Marketing Team

  • To attend European Marketing Team meetings

  • Employs basic knowledge of effective marketing and general business understanding.

  • Keeps business and product teams apprised of the status of marketing communications materials.

  • Provides support for costing, budget, research, and analytical to marketing management.

Qualifications

  • Specific experience and excellent knowledge in marketing – preferred

  • Previous experience of implementing marketing campaigns - preferred

  • Experience of working closely with sales teams and other key stakeholders, at all levels - preferred

  • Industry knowledge - preferred

  • Cummins product and systems knowledge - desirable

  • Project Management - preferred

  • Good knowledge of English (company language);

  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Good analytical skills;

  • Time management;

  • Attention to detail;

  • Good communication skills (written & verbal);

Education, Licenses, Certifications

University or college degree in the field of Sales or Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Experience

Minimal relevant professional work experience required.

Additional to Sales the EMSDP Associate will be working onkey responsibilities related to the Marketing function:

-Helps to develop marketing plans by preparing basic market research and pricing analyses.

-Presents data to manager for discussion and interpretation.

-Provides project management support and communicates plans, deadlines, and achievements to project team members.

-Learns the global brand strategy and how to align work products to that strategy.

-Learns about relevant marketing and sales systems and processes; collects customer satisfaction data to present to manager for discussion and interpretation.

-Learns relevant channel to support marketing activities.

-Teams with and collaborates across regions and business units.

-Participates in continuous improvement activities.

The EMSDP is looking to hire 4 Associates to enter the program in September 2020, with base country location in Sweden, Poland and Germany.
