About the role
Our Laverton branch is offering a 13-month full time Construction Projects Management internship commencing 30th January 2023 for a current Commerce, Business, Engineering, IT or Construction Student who is keen to utilise theoretical skills learnt in their degree and develop practical skills in the workforce.
“What Will You Do”
Work closely with our APAC Projects team on the delivery of projects from green field, through building and installation to final acceptance.
Apply your developing business process and project management skills
Provide administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager.
Manage small portions of well defined projects.
Serve as a resource on project and work assignments utilising your basic knowledge of effective project management
Identify, track, and work with others to resolve project issues.
Monitors and communicates project status to project team.
Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support
Provide input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
Assists with managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.
Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other experiences to enhance the success of the project.
Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.
About You:
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
Are currently studying an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Engineering, IT or Construction
Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of February 2022
Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration
Possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A strong interest in the development and delivery of projects
Be able to develop strong stakeholder relationships with a remotely located APAC regional team
Have a strong understanding of the financial implications of the delivery of projects
Some experience in the use of project and scheduling tools
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Time management skills and ability to multi-task
An interest and willingness to learn and develop new skills in a diverse organisation
Strong computer literacy and a knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Valid car driving license highly preferred
