HR – Apprentice Program Management Intern

About the role

Our Scoresby branch is currently looking for an Intern who is keen to utilise theoretical skills learnt in their degree and develop practical skills in the workforce. This is a unique opportunity to gains skills and knowledge while you are working closely and collaborating with the Apprentice Program Management (APM), Human Resources and Learning & Development teams and at the same time providing support to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Assist APM with resolving queries from apprentices

  • Assistance in the recruitment process for the South Pacific Apprentice Program

  • Follow up and administration relating to apprentice TAFE enrolments, Training plans, progressions

  • Assist with work experience program calendar and queries

  • Assist in the planning and execution of the Apprentice On-boarding program

  • Assist with budget creation and expense management and liaison with suppliers

  • Government claim incentives claim process

  • Update and maintain apprentice information management systems

  • Maintain information stored in OLT Apprentice Management folder on shared drive

  • Assist with improving diversity in apprentice intake for e.g. organise a ‘females in automotive’ event and liaise with MEGT VTEC for Indigenous candidate sourcing

  • Participate in community involvement teams

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Currently in penultimate year studying an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task

  • An interest and willingness to learn and develop new skills in a diverse organisation

  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality

  • Basic to Intermediate computer literacy and understanding of Microsoft Office suite

  • Valid car driving license
